According to a gameindustry.biz article, NBA 2K21’s next-generation version will cost 69.99 USD. This is the first time since 2005 prices for retail games has increased. A recent GameLab Live panel last month with former PlayStation Studios Boss Shawn Layden has suggested making shorter games to cover the cost of creating next-generation assets which have often been the case. It looks like the industry has different ideas.
This also includes a Mamba Forever Editon with the late Kobe Bryant on the cover which costs 99.99 USD for current and next-gen platforms with unannounced extras. Pricing chart is down below:
