The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a lot of uncertainty in every aspect of our daily lives. So much, that games like Final Fantasy VII Remake saw a staggered physical release as some retailers either delayed shipping or are closed until further notice. Naughty Dog’s already delayed The Last of Us Part 2 was hit with a “delayed until further notice” while distribution could be sorted out. That I am pleased to say has come to an end.
Citing an ease in the “global distribution environment”, Sony has announced that both The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima will launch this Summer.
The Last of Us Part 2 will arrive on June 19 and Ghost of Tsushima will drop on July 17.
Things are changing for better or worse rapidly and even this news could change but it is a positive step for us gamers especially if we are still staying home around that time.
