The show once known as Stan Lee’s Comikaze has come and gone for another year. The 2019 show was the biggest and actually the best one yet in my opinion. I attend more as a gamer than a comic fan but this con had something for everyone. Here are some of the highlights.
Jay & Silent Bob
Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes were in attendance to promote their new movie Jay & Silent Bob Reboot. The best part of their appearance was that they posed for pics with fans in front of a facade of the Quick Stop that has been a staple of many of Smith’s films since it first appeared in Clerks.
Once I got there the crowd was understandably large so instead of waiting for a photo op, I broke out the zoom lens and grabbed a couple of pics.
WOW: Women of Wrestling
Several personalities from AXS TV’s WOW were in attendance such as The Beast and Lioness.
On top of posing for pictures and signing autographs, the stars even did some matches in ring that was set up inside the convention center.
On the final day of the con, we hit up Slink Johnson (Black Jesus/Lamar Davis GTA V) to come hang out with us and it was hilarious to say the least.
My absolute favorite part of any con are the cosplayers. Whether they are world famous or just a dedicated fan that puts together an outfit with little to no budget, it is amazing to see just how passionate they all are about representing their favorite characters.
Here are a few of my favorites and where you can find them on IG:

It was a great time at LA Comic Con this year and I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 has in store.
