Quentin Tarantino has been teasing us with talk of a 3rd Kill Bill movie for what seems like 67 years now. The last big mention of the film by him was discussing how he wanted Ambrosia Kelley, the young actress that played Vernita Green’s (Vivica Fox) daughter to get a little older. That was a few years ago (before the original version of this website exploded) when Ambrosia was 19. She is 23 now so that should hopefully be good enough. The idea is to have Ambrosia’s character (Nikki) face off against the daughter of The Bride as revenge for her mother’s spectacularly choreographed death. Nikki is to be trained by Elle Driver, Darryl Hannah’s character in Kill Bill Vol. 1&2.
The new good news actually comes from a recent interview from Tarantino stating that he has talked to Uma Thurman (The Bride) about the 3rd Kill Bill film as recently as last week.
The following comes from an interview that Quentin Tarantino did on the MTV ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast:
“Me and Uma have talked about it recently, frankly, to tell you the truth.” said Tarantino. “I have thought about it a little further. We were talking about it literally last week. If any of my movies were going to spring from my other movies, it would be a third Kill Bill.“
While this could still go nowhere, it does give some semblance of hope that Kill Bill Vol. 3 may actually still see the light of day. Quentin Tarantino plans to retire after film #10 so here is hoping this will be that flick.
