The first expansion for our pick for Best PlayStation Game of 2017 Assassin’s Creed Origins, is set to be released on January 23, 2018. The DLC is titled The Hidden Ones and is set in an entirely new region, Sinai. The Hidden Ones takes place four years after the events of the main game and Bayek and the newly formed Assassin Brotherhood with battle against occupying Roman forces.
Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones Features:
- Four new Legendary weapons
- A new outfit
- Two new mounts
- Multiple new weapons
- Two new levels for all crafted gear
- Level cap raised from 40 to 45
The Hidden Ones will be available to Season Pass owners or it can be purchased separately for $9.99.
The next piece of DLC is one that I am personally looking forward to: The Discovery Tour. In this educational mode, Assassin’s Creed’s fully realized version of Egypt becomes a museum of sorts where the quests and combat are deactivated. Players can then elect to roam the country to learn more about its history and culture or go on guided tours that have been curated by historians and Egyptologists. The Discovery Tour will be available as a free download to all existing Assassin’s Creed Origins owners and will be available for purchase separately for $19.99 on Uplay and Steam for Windows PC on February 20, 2018.
The final announced expansion is called The Curse of the Pharaohs. This new expansion offers players a completely new storyline to delve into as they travel to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse that is plaguing the region. The Curse of the Pharaohs focuses on Egyptian mythology, pitting players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian beasts as they investigate the cause of the curse that has brought the dead pharaohs back to life.
Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs Features:
- Level cap raised to 55
- New outfits and gear
- Rare and legendary weapons, all themed around classic Egyptian mythology
The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC will be available for season pass owners or can be purchased separately for $19.99 on March 6, 2018.
